If you are planing to travel and you are not sure where, Cancun is one of the best options, also If you already decided to go to Cancun, here are a few recommendations of what to do, what attractions to visit and how to enjoy your stay.
There are direct flights to Cancun from the DMV area, there are also several options depending of how much you want to spend, we got a direct flight and we stayed at Barceló hotel/ resort that was all inclusive, meaning that food, drinks are part of the package and you can go from one hotel to another to take advantage of their pools and restaurants. Before out trip we research of places to visit but the hotel also had information and tours to take.
Transportation: As soon as you get to the airport there will be several options to take you to your destination, most of the hotels are between 20-30 minutes from the airport, we too Super Shuttle and the service was amazing.
Once in the hotel, rooms were comfortable, clean and the hotel amazing. Service was beyond excellent and Mexican people are lovely.
We went to Chichén Itzá is a large Mayan archaeological site and one of the most notable and recognized landmarks on the Yucatán. The history and the view is priceless, we also made a visit to a Cenote, there are more than 7000 cenotes we visit one called Ik Kill Cenote and we had so much fun. It was great seeing a Shaman and having the opportunity to talk to them and get the ritual too.
Another activity to do in Riviera Maya is swim with the dolphins, the hotel had this attraction, but there are several options around the beach depending of what you want to do.
We went for 5 days and we realized it was too short, there were other places like Cozumel, Tulum, Playa Mujeres that we couldn’t visit due to time but we will definitely go back.!
Si estas planeando un viaje y no sabes a donde ir, Cancun es una de las mejores opciones! Y si ya decidiste ir a Cancun y estas buscando que hacer pues aquí vas a encontrar algunas recomendaciones.
Hay varias opciones de vuelos, directos, con escala y de diferentes precios dependiendo que itinerario buscas; nosotros decidimos viajar directo desde el area del DMV para Cancun y nos quedamos en el Resort Barcelo que es todo incluido, tuvimos bebidas, comida y la libertad de ir de hotel en hotel y poder disfrutar de los diferentes restaurantes y piscinas. Antes del viaje buscamos información de que lugares visitar pero el hotel también nos ayudó con opciones para los tours.
Transporte: A penas llegas al aeropuerto en Cancun vas a encontrar varias opciones que te pueden llevar a tu destino, la mayoría de los hoteles están entre 20-30 minutos del aéreopuerto y la opción que nosotros usamos fue Super Shuttle y el servicio fue buenísimo.
Una vez en el hotel quedamos encantadas con la vista, los cuartos, lo limpio y lindo que es todo. El servicio y la gente mexicana son increíbles!
Fuimos a Chichén Itzá que es una arqueología Maya en la peninsula de Yucatan, la historia, la vista y los detalles son impactantes. Los cenotes son otras de las atracciones más visitadas en Mexico y tienen mas de 7000 nosotros fuimos al Cenote Ik Kill y aparte de que due hermoso es super divertido! Fue muy lindo conocer a los nativos mayas y también poder hablar y ver los rituales shamanicos.
Otra actividad para hacer en la Riviera Maya es nadar con los delfines, el hotel tiene esta atracción pero hay varias opciones en otros parques y hotels también.
Fuimos por 5 días y nos dimos cuenta de que fue muy poquito ya que hay muchos otros lugares para conocer como Cozumel, Tulum, Playa Mujeres y seguramente regresaremos con más tiempo.
